This Privacy Policy explains how Digitank ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Digitank mobile application (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

A. Account Information

Email address (to create and manage your account)

B. Content You Choose to Provide

  • Fish photos you upload or capture (to identify species and estimate length/weight)
  • Catch details you save (e.g., species, estimated length/weight, timestamps, and in-app progression such as XP/levels)

C. App Usage & Device Data (Limited)

We may collect basic technical data needed to operate the App reliably (e.g., device type, app version, and crash diagnostics).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use information to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Run fish recognition (species + estimates) when you submit a photo
  • Save catches to your tank when you choose "Add to tank"
  • Improve performance, fix bugs, and enhance App quality

3. When Photos Are Stored vs Not Stored

  • If you tap "Add to tank", we store the photo and related catch data under your account so it can appear in your tank and history.
  • If you tap "Release", we do not keep the photo beyond what's necessary to process your request (or we delete it shortly after processing).

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell or share your personal information.

5. Third-Party Services

Digitank may use third-party providers to operate core features, such as:

  • Backend/auth/database/storage provider (e.g., Supabase)
  • AI image processing provider (for fish recognition)

These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security measures.

6. Data Retention

We keep account and saved tank data as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. You can request deletion (see Section 9).

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no system can be 100% secure. Please use a strong password and keep your device secure.

8. Children's Privacy

Digitank is intended for a general audience will no specific age limitations.

9. Your Choices & Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date and may provide additional notice in the App.
